In his crib, that is. He officially, as of yesterday, can pull up to standing using his crib rails. He started doing it last night CONSTANTLY and now he just won't stop. He was up last night for an hour before we just decided to take him out to dinner with us. He ended up falling asleep in his carseat and then I just transferred him into his crib when we got home, he didn't even wake up. But then he woke up in the middle of the night at around 12:30 and didn't go back to sleep until 3:00! Charles, or I, would go on his room, try to feed him, rock him, soothe him, play calming music/nature sounds for him, anything we could think of but as soon as he got a chance he was rolling over pushing up to a sitting position and grabbing onto the side rail to stand. It's very frustrating. I mean, I
am excited that he's reached a new milestone, but this is
craziness. This afternoon we had to do "cry-it-out," or rather, "fuss it out" for 10 minutes before he finally settled himself down and went to sleep. I was reading online and can't really find any really great advice for dealing with putting an
extremely active baby to sleep. Most sites just recommend putting toys in the crib and letting the baby play around as much as he wants until he's tired and falls asleep. Thank goodness Jackson is napping right now but I'm nervous to see how tonight goes. Charles and I are both exhausted.
Here are some photos I took of Jackson swinging at the park with his daddy. It was pretty windy and chilly outside so we didn't stay long but Jackson LOVED it. He was smiling and laughing so much, I can't wait to take him again.
(Charles looks like he's going to throw him! I swear it wasn't that violent in real life!)
And here's another one I took of Charles and Jackson that I just love. Just look at them looking so sweetly at each other! I love them!
